Executive Chef Alex Slagle brings a rare blend of culinary artistry, passion for sustainability, and mountain lifestyle expertise to We Know The Chef. With five years as the executive chef for Vail Resorts’ signature cabin programs in Beaver Creek, he has hosted Michelin-starred icons like Traci Des Jardins, Gabriel Kreuther, and the acclaimed team from Wolf’s Tailor in Denver. Known for his engaging cooking classes and dedication to mentoring the next generation of chefs, Chef Slagle fosters a deep appreciation for the culinary arts.
His commitment to sustainability runs deep—rooted in his time living and working on organic farms in Kentucky and Tennessee before making Vail his permanent home. When he’s not crafting once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences, you’ll find him skiing, hiking, hunting, and foraging with his puppy by his side.
